This unique New Zealand farmstay is just 20 minutes north of Christchurch International Airport and 30 minutes from the city centre. Silverstream Alpaca Stud has a magical setting with sweeping lawns and gardens set on a beautiful stream boundary with the loveable alpacas, quietly grazing in nearby fields.
Excellent nearby fishing, golf, horseriding, shopping and wineries will ensure that you leave New Zealand with very fond memories and some new found friends.
Two modern self contained farmstay cottages sleeping up to five persons per cottage, with full kitchen facilities, are available for families and couples looking for some time out. All guests receive a farm tour and the opportunity to get up close and friendly with the alpacas – hold a baby alpaca (cria) or lead an alpaca along the laneway. The tour is a real highlight for our guests.

Alpacas have a natural curiosity towards children and the children simply love them with their teddy bear good looks and their soft hum for communication.

The Farm Tour takes about an hour and is very hands on. Visitors will be taken to a yard/pen where they can touch the alpacas, hold a cria (baby alpaca), take an alpaca for walk or simply take lots of photographs.
